Recipe: Chicken Parmesan Calzones
I've been trying to figure out what to do with my six cans of Grands! Biscuits that I got really cheap. We love them with breakfast, but I wanted to get a little creative. So I came up with this recipe:
Chicken Parmesan Calzones
Ingredients:
1 can of Grands!Biscuits or Biscuits equivalent in size
2 cups of cooked chicken
1 tsp of Italian seasonings=basil, oregeno, parsley
Dash of garlic, salt and pepper
Mozzarella Cheese
Marinara Sauce
1. Cook the chicken in a skillet with canola oil till cooked through. Cut it up and add the Italian seasonings and spices in the pan.
2. Roll out the biscuits till flattened (about 6 in across).
3.Stuff with cooked chicken and cheese on one half of the biscuit. Then pull the other half of the biscuit over to cover the meat and cheese. Crimp with a fork along the outer edge to seal the calzone.
4. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 15-17 minutes or until the Calzones are browned.
5. Serve with Marinara Sauce and Enjoy!
Variations: Could be stuffed with ham, brocolli, cheddar cheese and served with honey mustard or
Stuffed with taco meat and cheddar cheese and served with salsa or Pepperonis, mozzarella, peppers and etc...
These were really tasty and very simple to make. The little guys loved them, too...that's always a plus for our family. :))
