Recipe: Oven Fries
Any one that has little ones knows that they love fries. Of course, we know that deep fried fries are very unhealthy on a weekly basis. So my mom came up with a healthier alternative...oven fries. These are simple, delicious and frugal since you can usually pick up potatoes at a decent price.
Ingredients:
4-5 Medium Potatoes
Olive Oil or Canola Oil
Spices--Herbs, Salt, Pepper, Garlic**
Directions:
Cut up potatoes into large wedge size. Layer on a cookies sheet. Drizzle with oil. Sprinkle with spices and toss lightly.
Bake at 375 for 30-40 until tender and browned.
**If I'm making Italian fries, I use Parsley,Italian Seasoning and Parmesan Cheese. Or to make a spice variation use cumin, garlic, onion powder, pepper. There is alot of different possibles with this recipe.
